Do People Ever Get Tired Of This

While I'm not surprised at all that there are individuals in the world who see attacking an 11 year old child with ignorant racial slurs an alright thing to do, I'm amazed that they are so bold in doing so. Or I guess not because most people can be thugs over the Internet. Just once I'd like to see someone sign a comments section with their real name and email address.

Malia Obama was seen in Russia wearing 2 t-shirts with peace signs on them. Radical Republican media sources have used this as an opportunity to spread hate. They have accused this CHILD of sending secret messages and being a propaganda tool for her father while calling her and her family not so nice names in the process.

I have never prior to Jan 20, 2009 heard people complain so much about a First Family. How many trips did Bush and his family (either Bush) take while in office? How much did Nancy Reagan spend on clothing and furnishings in the White House? Did anyone care? Let's be clear, the Obamas had a comfortable life well before coming into the national mindshare and dare I say if the world fell apart tomorrow and he were no longer President, they would manage just fine with the 4 Ivy League degrees between he and his wife. As for the children, they wear whatever trends are being sold in the stores and promoted by their favorite tween/teen stars. Really people, if she were sending subliminal messages via her wardrobe, is the message of peace a bad idea? I refuse to take the Republican extremists seriously.

It Always Comes Down To Race

I admit that I'm a Michelle Obama stan. But my admiration of her does not render me incapable of speaking out against things she may say or do that I don't agree with. I assume any person of color is able to express their pride in the achievements of the First Family as well as their dismay with some decisions they've made or will make. So why is it a question as to whether trained journalists can be objective in their dealings with the East Wing? A columnist for the Washington Post poses this very question. When white journalist cover white politicians and celebrities is unbalanced reporting a threat? If Laura Bush gave Katie Couric an interview would it raise an eyebrow? Quite frankly, I'm sick of people acting like African-Americans can't be balanced in their views of the First Family. Heck, there are plenty who didn't vote for Obama and quite frankly can't stand him (trust me his smile didn't win everyone over). We are not a blind people nor are we all thinking with one collective brain. News flash: contrary to what BET will have you to believe many of us are capable of thinking on our own, forming complete sentences, shunning Ebonics, being consummate professionals at our crafts, and the list goes on. See, we're just like everyone else.

Diddy Wishes He Could Roll Like Obama

What, you ain't know?! Obama rolls deep
  • Air Force 1 has a gym on board (Boy quit playing because nobody's that serious about working out);
  • His limo is called The Beast and it is equipped with a tear gas cannon, a night-vision camera and oxygen tank (Yeah but his rims don't spin!);
  • The Beast is made from steel plating that can protect against bullets, chemical attack, and missile strikes (So he's not expecting to be carjacked by Pookie and 'nem?); and
  • He travels with AB-type blood at all times in case of an emergency transfusion (Yep, cause you just can't get that at the local bodega or 7 Eleven).
