Can't Believe I Didn't Do That

For reasons I care not explain, I did not make my thankful entry last night. So before I allow myself to do another thing, I must tell you why I was thankful yesterday: 

1. I received pictures of The Pretty Girl attending prom this weekend. This is a reason to be thankful because last year we didn't know if she would be here today. She's a testament to the miracle of modern medicine and, well you know, God. 
2. I had the shrimp and grits at Society (2104 Frederick Douglass Blvd, NY, NY - check it out) and didn't feel the need to order anything else. Yep, I was satisfied. 
3. After turning in the cable box this weekend to focus more on writing, I thought I'd go through withdrawal symptoms since Sunday is my main HGTV day, but nope. Nothing of the sort happened. 
4. It rained and provided a good reason to just sleep. So much for increased productivity. 
5. I heard laughter from my favorite four females (The Pretty Girl, My Favorite Person In All The World, The Tator Tot, and of course Queen Mother). This isn't extraordinary, but I rarely get to see them and hearing them laugh ensures me that at least for that moment they are happy with life.
